BBS stood out to me because of its flexibility. Through rotations, I was able to explore new areas and ultimately found my home in an immunology lab, a field I had no background in coming into grad school. BBS gave me the resources and course access to make that pivot feel feasible. What resonated most during my interview was HPREP, a wonderful student-led initiative that introduces local high school students to STEM and prepares them for college and research. It sealed my decision to join BBS, and I’m now in my fifth year with the team.
